One of the most important part of being a Christian is knowing that it does not make us immune to life’s troubles and struggles.
As Christians, God never promised us a hitch-free ride all the way. In fact, the scripture says, many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them from it all. It is easy for us to question the goodness and greatness of God when things go awry.
You can still be doing things right and suffer.
Therefore, those who are ill-treated and suffer in accordance with the will of God must [continue to] do right and commit their souls [for safe-keeping] to the faithful Creator.
