Travel Lessons & The Revolution – Athens, Greece

Instead of starting with the usual apology for being absent for a while, I will just jump straight into my next story.

Athens – well, what a city. A city that is old, dirty & incredibly busy… yet absolutely beautiful & maybe just a little bit magical. The city is ancient & a brilliant word to describe it would be sprawling. At first glance, it seems over populated, sidewalks need to be weeded & the buildings need a new coat of paint, but that’s just the rough exterior – once you start making your way around, you’ll find quint little café’s & picturesque churches hidden in the narrow streets.

Before going to Athens, I knew I definitely wanted to go to the Parthenon at the Acropolis. I guess so does everyone else who visits Athens. I made a huge mistake though & I did…

Join Julie on the Yoga Mat

Julie Haiselden's avatarJulie Haiselden

Those of you who are keeping me company on my latest attempt at fitness in mind and body, will know I recently took up yoga but had decided not to get a mat in case it was a five minute wonder.

Events were taken out of my hands on Tuesday last week. I mentioned my new activityIMG-20190726-WA0001 in a mobile message to the firstborn and lo and behold, two days later, a purple yoga mat arrived by post! Not only that, but my surprise gift was accompanied by an additional complementary gift – a small towel with which to mop my brow or hands. (Am I supposed to be working up a sweat?)

Now I have little excuse not to keep up my daily workout. Currently, I’m developing integrity in my torso – so that’s nice.

I have been firmly instructed by my daughter not to share any photos whilst…

Old Love So Young

krittica bh's avatarshots of thoughts

I never know what age you are turning into,
forever and always young and new.

Your bones may shatter,

your hair may grey.

But like a warrior better,

your hands will sway.

The beauty of the sharp jaw,

that million dollar smile.

A firm stand by the law,

in cute ways defined juvenile.

Up to brim, can’t love you more,

even in pain, you heal my wounds so sore.

Maybe I can’t gift you anything bigger,

but like peace in heaven, my love for you will always shimmer.

One of many adventures…

krittica bh's avatarshots of thoughts

This is a new journey for me and I am excited to meet new friends on the way. Thank you for taking notice. As a great man once said,”Good company makes the way shorter. ”

Basically I would mostly post about thoughts that infiltrates my fickled mind. And sometimes a poem or two through which I might try to bedazzle your creatively subtle minds. Sometimes collection of my anime art or photography. You might notice failed attempts of comedy bits here and there….

So thank you once again…
