The Little Dress

Fidgeting in his chair, he watched her try to squeeze into the dress. The little dress he so adored. The little dress she refused to acknowledge no longer fit.

“Just a little tug here and there,” she groaned.

He felt awful. Why did he suggest that dress?

She look at him with determined blue eyes. “I need help with the zipper?”

He stood behind the woman that changed his life. The woman that gave him children.

He stared at the stubborn zipper that would never close. How could he tell her she wasn’t a size six? Perhaps, she would never be a size six, again.

He kissed her pale back and sighed. “Honey, I was thinking, let’s not go to the party.”

She spun around. “You said this event was important.”

You are more important, he thought.

“What about the baby sitter?”

Nurt Thursday – Secret to Happiness

I wanted to started this one with saying that I believe that people individually have their own secrets to happiness and I would love to hear what it is. If you feel comfortable to share ❤

The newer part has fan vaulting. Looking from the East, you see the round Norman arches of the side aisles.

like the Norman arches, feeling solid, but the fan vaulting is beautiful. Finishing with the West wall,  the builders changed to the modern fashion for Gothic arches.

Around that  arch…

MODS

Met the PhotoBuddies in town yesterday, not for a PhotoWalk (the weather has been pretty dismal over the last week) but to have a look at the MODS exhibition at the New Walk Museum. A bit of nostalgia for the old folks.

There wasn’t much light so I had to use 1600asa on the Olympus EPL1, being an older digital camera it does introduce a bit of noise to the images.

Fashion

I was still at school when the MOD scene hit, I had various pairs of hipster trousers which looked great, but were made from a wool blend of material, I can’t wear wool next to my skin, it makes me itch, a bit like prickly heat, but I put up with it just to look cool !

I loved this style of boot.
