Day 2 – Magic Kingdom – Mickey Mouse and The Plaza Restaurant (Part I)

Our second day in Walt Disney World was not looking much better weather wise than our first rainy day. The nice thing was that we knew the rain would clear the crowds, who are usually not prepared for the rain, out of the parks. We brought our ponchos from home knowing that June is a rainy month in Orlando. If you are going to Orlando for any length of time (especially the rainy months) I suggest investing in a higher grade rain poncho than the Dollar Store ones. You don’t need a hiking grade poncho but I saw so many people with ripped plastic wrap type ponchos that was like holding up tissue paper in a down pour. You can usually find decent rain ponchos for under $20. If you are spending thousands of dollars on a vacation isn’t it worth it to spend a bit more to make sure…

Cinderella’s Royal Table – Magic Kingdom – Day 2 (Part III)

Once we left The Plaza restaurant I checked the My Disney Experience (MDE) app to see that “The Carousel of Progress” only had a 10 minute wait time. This is one of my favorite attractions. It is a sweet story line and I love the Disney historical signifigance that goes with it. Though it has been changed through the years that the show is one of the originals from Disneyland makes it heartwarming to me.

We walked out of “The Carousel of Progress” we headed straight over to the WEDway Peoplemover. The wait time was only 10 minutes to we were on in no time. This slow moving ride is a favorite of mine. When my children were little we would get on this ride and for about 3-4 times through they would nap. Same with the monorail. We would ride it back and forth between Epcot and Magic Kingdom…

The Food! Oh My, The Food – Day 1 – June 2019 (Part II)

I have to say I LOVE Club Cool in Epcot. It has been one of our favorite stops on every trip. It is not often you get something for “free” in Disney and this is such a treat to try different Cokes from around the world. My favorite used to be the German soda which was a bit like Coca Cola mixed with a hint of orange. Now that they have changed flavors my favorites are the melon soda and the pineapple soda. Also, you have to try the Beverly at least once. It is a rite of Disney passage.

If you are looking for a bit of a cool breeze during a hot day the back of the Club Cool is often quieter than the front. We learned that there are benches and when the doors open a blast of cool air comes out. We sat in the back…

Cape May Cafe – June 2019

koolaidmoms's avatarEarning My Disney PhD

This was the third day of our Disney trip and it had rained ALL afternoon and evening. This wasn’t the little afternoon showers we were expecting but sideways rain most of the time. We spent the entire afternoon in our hotel room which in the end was probably best for us because although it was only our third day at Disney it was our sixth day traveling. We were tired!

We almost cancelled our Cape May Cafe reservation but this is one of our favorite nostalgic places. We first ate at this restaurant 23 years ago for our honeymoon. It was a HUGE splurge back then. We only ate at one table service restaurant that trip and this was it. We both love seafood and since then we have been to this restaurant many times with our kids, family members, and friends but this one seemed special tonight as it…

Through Jersey Eyes blog will be ending sometime soon so this is my last post. You can still follow me however on my blog WWW.MVOBSESSION.COM  (click here)

I have enjoyed the past 8 years of sharing my photographs and want to thank all who have followed me, I really appreciate it.

And so the sun sets on Through Jersey Eyes.

Although it is not a bitter end for this blog I thought a photograph of the Bitter End nightclub that was in New York City for many years would be appropriate  🙂
