Another gloriously sunny morning as we packed up the car and trundled in the direction of Patterdale, making a detour on the way to visit a rather pretty little peak called High Rigg which sits above the church of St John’s in the Vale, near Keswick.

We parked free of charge in a lay-by on the road to Threlkeld and walked back to a small made-up road on the right which took us up by the church.

For a small fell, it had a rather steep incline in places but the view was definitely worth it

As with any climb, the reward is the cup of tea at the summit!

Let your hope and not your hurts shape your future. At the end of last year, I came across a video testimony of Marie Ange Mumba , a young lady living in Kentucky USA. I wanted to find out more about her story and share it, as millions of women are experiencing the same things all over the world. Marie Ange told me that: “During my college career I’ve been sexually assaulted multiple times. It’s been the hardest thing dealing with this situation[…] I only talk about my story because I believe that victims of sexual assault should not keep it private. This is an issue that must be dealt with”.

Ladies Day Off started as an idea to be around my girlfriends and have a great time but as the same time I wanted us to get something fun from the experience. Thus the idea of having a Ladies Day off with make up theme. Women have the power to create life. They are moms, best friends, drivers, nurses, wives, prayer warriors, private chef, tutor, cleaners and many more at the same time. Women have the power to multiply a single thing into thousand more. They don’t have super power or use magic. They are Women and that is their super power.

and released in 1967. It has been one of my favorite tunes, hands down. Songs
of hope; songs celebrating life; songs that bring us back to days of our youth
(misspent or otherwise) are such a joy and a blessing.

“God gave us memories that we might have roses in December” –
author unknown. That is what music is to me and such a blessing too. And it really is such a wonderful world.

Yes, there are despotic rulers, egomaniacs and narcissistic,
power-hungry leaders who don’t seem to know the meaning behind the ideas of
good governance. Yes, there are horrible things being done to human beings
around the globe. Yes, there are terrible diseases and natural (and not so
natural) disasters…
