To properly explain myself, this review might contain MAJOR SPOILERS for book one. If you plan to read this duology or haven’t finished book one yet, I would advise you to read my review of book one instead. I always try to write spoiler free or just really small spoilers, but this one was a little hard to do without spoilers.
I absolutely loved this sequel and conclusion in the Everless series. In both books the protagonist is learning about herself and her past, though for different reasons: In book one she tried to re-explore her childhood and her childhood home, whilst in book two she takes the journey to learn more about her past as the Alchemist. I always liked the ideas of past lives and I really enjoyed how Jules is exploring hers.
