For visually challenged writers, the image shows a solitary figure on a beach against a wide ocean.

Small choices.

Not long he’d said, I did ask if he could be more specific. He was very nice about it but just couldn’t say. Months, weeks or days…he didn’t mention years.

I really don’t know why I am writing this down, there is no one to read it.

I don’t feel sad, how could I, the sea looks so beautiful with sun glinting on it. This beach is so peaceful, it’s warm and safe.

God, I am so tired, I need to sleep, I wonder if I will wake up again.

It’s funny I am not in any pain… I wonder if it will stay like that. No I am not afraid , well a little, maybe.

Oh! Hello dog, your beautiful are you on your own.

No it’s okay she’s no…

Euzema’s Ezcema Cream Review

Yessy_Reviews's avatarYessy Reviews

As a parent it’s important to find products to help our children feel better. My child has had eczema since he was 3 months old. I’ve tried everything you can think of, but nothing has helped. It’s hard not to be able to help your child find some relief.

I’ve tried Jamaica black soap, aquaphor, medicated ointments and so much more. We’ve seen many dermatologists, and haven’t seen much of a change. We’ve even tried changing a few things from his diet.

We recently got the chance to try Euzema Confidence Revival Cream. It is a cream that has helps my son stop scratching. It is soothing on his irritated eczema. It doesn’t provoke his eczema or cause more irritation.

I’ve seen a nice change with Euzema Confidence Revival Cream and I will continue to use it.

You can find it at

“Meerkat on Lookout Duty”

Sarah's avatarArt Expedition

img_1296 Meerkat on Lookout Duty, white clay yet unfired

What: a meerkat, 36 cm high ( ca. 14 in)

Made of: white clay, Barock glaze

Made by: Sarah

Meerkats belong since I was little to my very favorite animals. They´ve always impressed me with their unrelenting courage and determinacy to protect their family from all dangers.

Meerkats are highly territorial mongooses that live in complex groups, often called mobs, clans or gangs, of up to 50 animals. Their society relies on cooperation, and helpers of both sexes play a crucial role in raising the pups of the alpha female to adulthood.

Meerkats depend on their clan in many vital ways. A clan digs a series of multi-level tunnel-and-room burrows in its territory where all its members sleep at night and rest during the hottest part…

Art in Clay – The Cloak

Sarah's avatarArt Expedition

Browsing through my own blog, I´ve noticed that I haven’t shared with you examples of my art work with clay for some time now. (tsk! tsk!)

In the hope that you will forgive this inexcusable lapse, I´m posting today one of my latest pieces – The Cloak.

I´ve made it with white clay, which by the way, is no better than the red one, I simply prefer it because my clothes look less muddy afterwards and it´s also sometimes better for certain glazes.

P1130772 The Cloak (white clay, unfired)

Before the piece can be put in the kiln it needs to dry thoroughly.

P1130773 The Cloak (white clay, unfired)

After the firing the clay reveals its true color (having looked rather grey before).

P1130904 The Cloak (white clay, after firing)

It´s also much easier to take photographs from any kind of ceramics when they are (still) unglazed, the light tends not to bounce…

Proud to present… a Dragon!

Sarah's avatarArt Expedition

I noticed that it´s been a long time since I´ve posted some pottery here – that´s not because I haven´t done any but because I find it rather difficult to make some decent pictures of my pieces. Most of the time the light is bouncing off the glaze like crazy and no one would be able to see any of the details:(

But I´ve found a way around it! Now I´m going to photograph the piece before it will be glazed (and hopefully afterwards as well, although you can never be sure, because if you haven´t worked properly and left any undetected enclosed bubbles in the clay, the thing could just EXPLODE in the oven!).

This time, however, I don´t want to show you one of my pieces but the wonderful and extraordinary work of my mother (who used to be a professional porcelain painter and is now having fun…

A Dragon Is Born

Sarah's avatarArt Expedition

Those of you following me on Instagram might already have seen it, but I thought I would share it with you here on my blog as well:

My little baby dragon, freshly hatched from its egg!!

DSC_0191 (1) Baby Dragon (Clay, 2019)

I formed it with white clay and then applied a glaze that gives it this amazing metallic shimmer!

As you can see, my little one is quite hungry, begging for seconds all the time. 😉

Dragons are usually carnivores, but so far he’s happy lapping up some mango juice and gobbling down the occasional egg. 😉

DSC_0196 (1) Baby Dragon (Clay, 2019)

I’ve always been a huge dragon fan, reading every story I could get my hands on, like my all-time favorite “The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien (even thought Smaug is quite the Bad Boy really), the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling, the wonderful novels by Christopher Paolini (“Eragon” being the…

May Outfit Roundup

Steph's avatarPicking the Day

And just like that another month is done! Somehow I blinked and seemed to miss May – it doesn’t seem fathomable, but here we are nearing the halfway point of the year in which I will become a parent, and I can’t quite get my head around it! It may be partly due to the fact that compared to April, May has been a little bit of a snooze fest, what with us spending almost all of our spare time sorting through the house to get it extension ready! It’s been a huge exercise – my gosh, how two people can come to accumulate such a large amount of crap in just 18 months I do not know – and I’ve created a rather large pile of clothing and shoes for the eBay/charity shop pile which is slightly terrifying, but it’s been pretty cathartic too and I feel as though…
