She wrinkled her forehead in an effort to remember.

Her failingmemoryhad made the past foggy

To remember what words were germane

And to use the appropriateexpression was her desire

But like a fading clip of an old movie

Things came into focus just to fade away

Despite her ardent desire to show she still

Was the bossin her own mind, she often floundered

It would be perfect if her mind would

Be clear so that her every action and speech

Australia Day 12: Brisbane!

seeshefliesandwrites's avatarSee She Flies And Writes

We started our first day in Brisbane with going to West End. First we had some coffee there, then we browsed some second hand and book stores. Afterwards we went to the Brisbane Vegan Markets, to get burgers and some vegan jerky. I’ve never had jerky before (not even the meat kind before my vegetarian days), but this was very, very good! My boyfriend tried to find it online, but had no luck. We were lucky, though, to see the market after all, it only takes place twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Sunday! (source)

Then we just walked around some more and took some pictures. It was a lovely day with nice weather!

We spent a few days in Rome before going to Florence where we had class Monday-Friday for three weeks. These stories won’t be in order and they maybe a little embarrassing but the experience was great and I still speak to many of the friends that I made while there.

I had traveled outside the United States before but never by myself and this trip was partially solo. Upon landing in Rome I met up with the other students there for…
