EN MI MEMORIA
Intento pintar tu rostro
con el sudor de tu almohada.
Cierro fuerte los ojos,
no recuerdo tu mirada.
Deseo escuchar tu voz…
ni en sueños lo consigo.
Esta mañana mi memoria maldigo,
despierta feroz mi rabia.
Tus lunares en mis dedos,
el aroma de tu piel,
el dulce sabor de tus besos…
esos no los conoce el pincel,
mas yo jamás los olvido.

Book Description:
From the top ten Kindle bestseller. Perfect for fans of THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR.
THEY LIVE IN YOUR HOUSE
University is supposed to be the best time of your life. But Imo’s first week is quickly going from bad to worse.
YOU SHARE EVERYTHING
A stalker is watching her flat, following her every move, and Imo suspects that her new roommates are hiding dark secrets…
BUT DO YOU TRUST THEM?
When one of them suddenly disappears, the trauma of Imo’s recent past comes hurtling back to haunt her. And she begins to realise just how little she knows about the people she lives with…
My Thoughts:
The story centres around four new university roommates, Imo (Imogen), Amber, Teagan and Pheonix. All of the four young women are very different in personalities so it was interesting to see how they were all going to get on.
It’s made clear…

Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta: Balloon Flight
During October the International Balloon Fiesta took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico. If you ever get the chance go. There were 550 registered balloon pilots.
Our first morning at the fiesta was the morning that we were scheduled to go up in a balloon. I’d had this planned for months, done and paid for the moment we decided to go to the fiesta. We went with a company called Rainbow Ryders and there were 600 people on the waiting list and all the balloon flight for every day of the festival were booked solid.
We had to be at Balloon Fiesta Park by 5am; we were up at 3:15 and there by 4:30. There was no way we were missing this. Just FYI, if you do ever fly with Rainbow Ryders it is totally worth it to get the Ryder’s Club upgrade. They feed you and there is coffee along…

New Mexico: Balloon Fiesta Mass Ascension
In total I went to three sessions of the International Ballon Fiesta: one where I rode in a balloon, an attempted night glow, and a morning mass ascension. If you want to read about my hot air balloon flight you can see it here.
I didn’t do a separate post about the night glow because due to higher wind speeds it didn’t happen. The balloons were unable to stand up and stay grounded. We did get to see some neat sky diving. Including one skydiver with a flag.

Instead of going back for another Night Glow we decided to go to a dawn Mass Ascension and it was worth the sleep we lost. Because going to the Mass Ascension means being up around 4 am if you want to be at the balloon field before 5 am to see the dawn patrol.
The dawn…

Jazz Age Wednesdays ― Pip in the Field of Fear
Wednesday, October 23, 2019
Welcome back to Jazz Age Wednesdays!
WordPress has made blogging so difficult for me that I’m taking the week off — sort of anyhow. I’m rerunning this short story from 2017. Unfortunately, because of the WordPress problems, I won’t be able to visit many blogs during this “sort of break.”
In celebration of Halloween two years ago, I wrote 1920s tale about Pip and some of her friends. I let search engines guide me to three random things to drive this story ― first Google, then Yahoo, then Bing. I typed in “Halloween,” hit enter, and used the first thing that caught my eye at each. The three things are: candy, fields of fear, and children holding hands.
Whether you were around the first time, or it’s new to you, I hope you enjoy it.

Halloween Stew #Etheree #doubleetheree
Hi
Come in
How are you?
Sit for a bit
I’ll get you a sweet
Give you a nice goody
Mix it up in the cauldron
Wait while I get the recipe
Cipher out the ancient words of lore
Are you beginning to feel sleepy yet?
Don’t worry about this razor I have
Just need some special ingredients
It’s a potion made once a year
Full of intrigue and magic
Sit still while I harvest
Were you using these?
Delicacy
Special brew
Great charm
You

Careful of the witches brew, that human stew. Don’t ask what is on the menu, for you might find that it is you 😉
Written for Colleen’s Weekly Poetry Challenge. These week the key Words were Spell and Treat, only we had to use synonyms and not the actual words. I did a double etheree.
THE NUDE NOME CELLO FELLOW!

THE NUDE NOME CELLO FELLOW!
Klondike Kurt was an odd fellow,
He was also a bit lewd,
Kurt, sans pants and shirt,
Played the cello in the nude!
When Kurt was home,
This was fine,
But in downtown Nome,
It was way outta line! 😊
