Kilifi County is blessed to have two marine parks wide apart set up in 1968, Malindi Marine National park and Watamu Marine National park. In fact they were the first Marine Parks to be established in Africa and third in the world. In 1979, they were designated a biosphere reserve under the UNESCO. The two are managed separately. The parks covers an area of 6km2 while the reserve covers an area of 213km2.

Whereas Malindi’s is South of Malindi town, the Watamu park is Ksh 50 bus fare away-30minutes drive from Malindi Town. Adult charges are Ksh 130 for East Africa citizens, Ksh 300 for residents and 17US$ for non-residents. It’s peach season and time for the best Peach Cobbler I have ever tasted! The topping was so delicious I could make that as a dessert all by itself. But then I scooped up the fabulous peaches with it and it was pure heaven! I wish you could have smelled my house while this was baking because it was amazing!

I posted this last year but had to share it again for all my new followers.

It is amazing when things work out in ways you never thought imaginable. We had planned to arrive at Epcot mid to late afternoon. I had booked 2 Fastpasses for us and then we had a dinner Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR) in Norway. We were excited to try this restaurant as we have quite been able to make it work in our plans. Finally on my 23rd visit to Disney World we were going to do many new things that we have been unable to see and do before!

This is our first trip to Disney World in 20 years without children! They are now old enough to stay home and watch each other while we when on a much needed adults only vacation.
