“I’m not like other girls”
(will post about the rest of my trip soonish)
Girls who say “I’m not like other girls” are literally the female counterpart to “nice guys”.
“Oh I don’t fit in with the traditional view of femininity/masculinity therefore I am better than those that do – but that makes me more appealing to the opposite sex yeah??”
IDK I don’t want to be one of those blogs that just reposts stuff I saw on Reddit but this Reddit post is just reposting something from Tumblr so…
Also sorry kids there’s some swearing in this but if you are OK with that – the comments on this are something I wish I understood as a teen girl.

I think I’ve talked about this in a super old post on my blog (concerning putting down girls for liking makeup). I really need to read over those and edit them (because they were all…

Featured Writer for June
If I had to describe her, I’d say she’s an eclectic superwoman with the ability to weave words into wonderment. I would like to apologize to Harlequin Teen for taking so long to read this, because yikes am I ever late to reviewing this. I’m still catching up on stuff from August 2018 on my blog. I’m sorry for being a disaster.
Sometimes I forget why I love reading books with mental health rep and then I read them and remember exactly why I love them. They always feel like home. I get to see myself in a book and it feels amazing (#representationmatters). Imagine Us Happy was no exception.
The book follows Stella (who has depression and is taking medication and seeing a therapist for it) and Kevin…

Share Your Music! 30 Days 30 Songs!
If you’d like to join me, you can do this on any day you want, or also every day.
A pingback to my posts would be lovely, so that I can keep track of your favorite songs as well.
Today’s song is particularly special to me because it helped me through a very difficult time I had now almost 9 years ago.
After a severe nervous breakdown it was a downright battle to come back to life as I used to know it – a life where art, books and music mattered deeply to me.
I don’t remember the exact date, but there was a day when I listened absentmindly to the radio – more or less to cover up a very annoying tinnitus that I suffered from at the time.
When suddenly there was…
